We have worked with Free2Luv's Express It! materials for a a few years now and want to sincerely thank them for the wonderful books they have shared with us. We continue to use them with our young leaders, and they have truly been a huge hit. The activities spark meaningful conversation, creativity, and connection in ways that align beautifully with the work we do. They are also a great icebreaker for the young leaders who are newer to our programming. Thank you for all that you do!

Viva Rescue has helped me immensely. I have 5 cats, and because of this wonderful organization, I have been able to feed 4 feral cats outside. I think it's great that they are able and willing to help these poor animals with food, not to mention they also have at least 60 animals that they feed on the ranch, and care for! They are very compassionate, and greatly appreciated!

CenterLink’s staff, mission, values, and offerings are truly the light at the end of the tunnel. When I first found them, I was a new director of a small LGBTQ Center in North Carolina—feeling overwhelmed and in over my head. Since then, they’ve become my most valuable resource and my little rainbow guardian angel. CenterLink hosts a variety of meet-ups (ED to youth-programming) with organizations from across the country, all at various stages of development. Every colleague is eager to help, ready to lend insight or share tools at the drop of a hat. The CenterLink Summit in Philadelphia felt like a reunion with old friends—even though I’d never met any of them before. It was a warm, engaging experience that left me with invaluable tools and inspiration. I feel incredibly lucky to have this organization supporting LGBTQ+ Centers nationwide and connecting us all as the big family we are. Thank you, CenterLink team—especially Deborah, Meg, Sharron, Nico, and Denise.

I was a digital counselor (which took 6 months of training and testing) for almost 3 years with Trevor and thought I was doing great, never a complaint from staff, which ended this January (2024) when I was unexpectedly taken off the system with no notice or notification. Please see the note I sent, that ended up with a lovely call from a Vice President who asked me to follow up in the spring, I did and have heard nothing back. This was a heart wrenching situation for me and has taken away my love for serving this community, work that I thrived on and was so proud of this person having called me eventually as I sent emails trying to figure out why I was suddenly blocked from the system, I thought it was a technical issue, and was finally escalated to a VP. I don’t understand how I could be a successful digital counselor for almost 3 years and suddenly be torn from the system with no notice, I thought I was doing so well, and I loved the work. I miss working with youth in crisis, I was always so proud of being part of Trevor and to be summarily dismissed for unspecific reasons has been a huge hit to my confidence in helping in any non-profit organization. I knew that had management issues, I had no idea this kind of cruelty would be aimed at volunteers. <br>

I’ve been volunteering with Equality Florida for more than ten years, and I can honestly say it’s been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. This organization truly makes a difference—both in local communities and across the state. What I love most is how Equality Florida brings people together. They unite individuals, organizations, and allies to stand up for the LGBTQ+ community and push for real, lasting change. I’ve seen how powerful that can be, especially at their Pride at the Capitol events. Every year, hundreds of volunteers come together to meet with lawmakers and share stories—it’s inspiring to see the impact we can have when our voices are heard. Equality Florida isn’t just about advocacy; it’s about building community, creating understanding, and making Florida a more inclusive place for everyone. I’m so proud to be a part of this work and look forward to keep volunteering for years to come!

Unfortunately i have to give this organization a bad review. As you see they help most people and trust me its the ones they choose but not all of us. My husband and I came to this place for help. Me being bisexual I assumed I could get help from them. The manager Jerry has been fake and rude to us since the day I came in. She is extremely wonderful to most people but not to us. The favoritism with people is extremely harsh if she doesn't like you!!! She has gone out of her way to make me feel like I'm wasting her time and not welcome. I have tried to kiss her ass but she won't give me the time of day. I have been homeless due to my 23 year old sons untimely death and she has made my life worst by her rudeness. I was camped outside their building for over a week and they called the police on me and had them take all my belongings to the dump. Max has tolerated us because we have 2 puppies but has not gave one crap about our homeless situation. He has helped so many people on this page but why not us? I just want to show the side that no one sees. I have been treated so poorly by so many people because I am homeless and want everyone to know we have feelings and need some compassion...more than anyone else. Me loosing my precious son has sent me off the edge but nonprofits are suppose to help those of us who cant help ourselves. Before my son passed away I gave to this organization because my best friends were in this community but I regret it now.

The LGBT Center of Raleigh is full of wonderful people that make Raleigh great! They make a huge effort to listen to the community and meet their needs. I am always astounded by the number of services and programs the center manages with such a small staff. Keep up the great work!

I have been a member of Malecare just a couple of short months, and I already just feel better having a community of similar men to both talk with and share stories. I am single so this group has been helpful in not feeling so alone in this journey. I appreciate that this sight and organization offers a judgement free opportunity to be a part of. It has helped me mentally and stay prepared for the future.

Center like Bradbury are crucial to support our communities. They have amazing programs that provide volunteer opportunities and services while creating safe spaces for LBTQ people.

NAGLY has been hands down the best thing for our family since our child came out to us. The most important thing when your child comes out is to give them love and support and to hear them when they tell you who they are as a person and NAGLY gets that. They give parents the tools to understand what their kids are going through and the tools to help them through it. Most importantly they treat the kids as humans and individuals. From the minute we walked in to NAGLY our child felt seen. I mean, being a kid is hard enough as it is; finding a space where you can be yourself and make friends while also being given the tools to thrive as a person is something I wish I had as a kid. Our child has been given the space to learn and grow and we have found a place to go for support as a family. These are good humans and we are endlessly grateful for all they do.

As an intern with Free2Be, I have been gifted with so many opportunities to expand my mind and my skills. Free2Be provides much needed services to an under-served population in an area of the United States where LGBTQ people are often overlooked if not facing outright discrimination. The agency is also venturing into new and unexplored territory for themselves and for the LGBTQ South with their new programs. They are braving the rough waters of grantwriting and working under the auspices of grant administrators in order to supply the LGBTQ community with anti-violence programs such as outreach, advocacy, therapeutic and supportive groups, counseling for individuals, couples, and families, as well as community events related to domestic violence, sexual assault, bullying, and suicide prevention and awareness. Free2Be is an agency that challenges itself to do better and provide higher quality services to a community that often faces unique challenges.

I’m very sorry to say but this organization is trying to repress free-speech. I’m sad to say somewhat successfully. As an openly non-binary trans-african Free speech is all I have in America. I hope some of the administrators of this organization see this review and change for the better of humanity.

Thank you very much. I have heard that some people just can not be accepted into they Pro Bono System asylum program because they cases are not as straight forward 'easy' as they wish they were. Others expressed concerns that they do not look like those asylum seekers on the front page of the website. I also saw on the website that they advise to the asylum office, by using deductive method what I'm implying here? I wonder whether or not it means that they give advise against your case if they do not like you, then it is not good. Who know it for certain, please share the information with other gay people here. You probably can get help if you can sex reassignment surgery, you also more likely than not will get help if you marry someone of your own gender or if you can find a good stylist who will decorate your look, for female its easy but need to cut your hair short, for man it would be helpful to have few earrings and color the hairs)long hairs - if you can do any of those, sometimes simple things it can save you from lots of troubles and prejudices down the road. I am striving to learn more and really do my best to come to the right conclusion. Any more thoughts, only practical advice please? <br>Because I like the idea and my knowledge is limited I will start with 5 stars.

I enjoyed volunteering but I went to sign up someone for the Oasis center and the child refused to sign the discriminatory policy. I first found this insulting, but later read it and understood the child. Oasis does not allow straight people, a discriminatory act. However, they are funded by the government, so it is illegal to discriminate, even against straight people. Kind of a backwards way of thinkg, isnt it? Because the gay population was discriminated against, they are now discriminating against straight and using public taxes. Not quite fair, is it?

The DC LGBTQ+ Community Center serves the go-to spot in D.C. for LGBTQ+ support and connection, offering things like support groups, mental health resources, and community events. A lot of people appreciate how welcoming it feels and the variety of programs available, from social meetups to more practical help like job resources. That said, not everyone has the same needs however some visitors' favorite aspects of the center being really friendly staff, great programming, yummy meals, or genuine appreciation for being connected to life saving resource. While it's common when seeking care as an lgbtq+ person of intersectional identities to have concerns about whether all identities, especially transgender and nonbinary people, feel equally at home in the center. Overall, it’s a vital and positive space for the local community, navigating an ever-evolving landscape to ensure the wellness, betterment, and protection of all lgbtq+ individuals!

I have been a staff person at the Feminist Center for 2 years. I have never worked with such a dedicated and talented group of people! I am honored to be a part of providing compassionate abortion care and building a movement for reproductive freedom in Georgia. This is a place where you feel like you are a part of making history and making an impact. There is something magic that has brought all of us together to be a part of this new generation of leaders working for reproductive justice.

Until today, I was unaware of the Point Foundation. My late wife was a supporter of the Human Rights Campaign, but I was so affected by the letter in your request that I have added Point to my donations. Be kind to each other.

I have been passively and actively associated with RCPA for nearly 11 years. My partner is a musician; I was a volunteer and supporter. We currently do not share the same views.<br>RCPA used to be an all-inclusive band supportive of gays and allies aka everyone was welcomed equally. In the past five years, this non-profit has become revenue generating with paid staff and it shows. The band has become greedy. It charges its members, the groups they are playing for and now digs into grants using any keywords they can. The band has come to the point of being so inclusive, they are exclusive. Just being gay or an ally is not enough. I have quite literally heard a music director on a group call say, "I wish we had a disabled black lesbian." More buzzwords, more grant money. Members are required to sound off their pronouns. Positions that used to be audition only are now given to underqualified "minorities". Capable musicians are passed over by greedy section leaders for solos (Trumpets in Reign). It's a shame to see a community band become a pay to play corporation. Issues have been brought up publicly and privately with no resolve. I no longer volunteer, donate or attend their functions. Many of the previous ensemble leaders have left for similar and other reasons. I encourage my family member to leave a group that now presents as a cult.

I love volunteering with one·n·ten! Many opportunities exist to engage with the organization and support the community. If you have an ERG at your company, I highly recommend you reach out and schedule a day of service.
